Evacuated Tube Technology

Constructed from tough borosilicate (1.5mm), each tube is a tube within a tube.

The gap between them is a vacuum. This almost eliminates any heat loss (0.92% transmittance).

At the top, each tube is mounted into the insulated manifold which is a supported on an aluminium

frame. The tubes are anchored via a rubber sleeve within a weatherproof GRP housing fixed

to the frame at the base.

The inner tube is coated wit ha trivalent coating via DC spluttering technology.

These coatings absorb a wide spectrum of rays, including infra-red, resulting in an absorption

coefficient of 96%.
